La misión del proyecto de defensa para el inquilino inmigrante (ITAP, por sus siglas en ingles) es de prevenir la explotación de los inquilinos inmigrantes. Para conseguir este odjetivo, ITAP les ayuda a establecer organizaciones de inquilinos y les ayuda con representación legal gratuita.


ITAP ha ayudado a miles de inmigrantes a mejorar sus condiciones de viviendas y a reforzar  el cumplimiento de sus derechos legales.
El ITAP es una división de la oficina católica de migración, que fue fundada para ayudar a los miles de inmigrantes, que necesitan ayuda legal.
El ITAP puede ayudarlo a:
*Conocer sus  derechos de vivienda.
*Formar asociaciones de inquilinos.
*Presentar quejas contra el casero.
*afirmar sus derechos como inquilino.
